  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • In my role, I support the business and marketing functions by preparing key reports for the camera market. This includes sell-out and inbound reports to track sales, stock movement, and inventory levels. I compile weekly summaries and deliver monthly presentations on market performance, trends, and competitor activity.

  • Yes, I鈥檝e learned new skills and developed my existing ones during this experience. I鈥檝e improved my communication and teamwork by working closely with different departments. My time management and organisation skills have strengthened through handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines. I鈥檝e gained hands-on experience in data handling, Excel reporting, and stock management.

    Responsibilities

  • I feel that I had a lot of responsibility from day one, which was great as it allowed me to gain valuable work experience. Being entrusted with tasks like preparing reports, managing stock data, and contributing to presentations helped me build confidence and develop a deeper understanding of business operations.

  • I received excellent support and guidance throughout my placement. My team was always available to offer advice, answer questions, and provide feedback on my work. I was given clear instructions and constructive guidance, which helped me grow in my role. Additionally, I had regular check-ins with my manager, ensuring that I was on the right track and had the resources I needed.
