    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • As a Supply Officer, 1. I report on my workflow package during daily Start of Shift. 2. I raise Purchase Orders for scraps (new orders) and ensure timely delivery of parts, reject and rework orders. 3. Interact with supplier for updates and related issues, and internal customers. 4. Work on project teams for stock coverage and any tasks given to me by my superiors including stock count.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Yes, very much responsibilities to keep the 35 hour per week going - I was handling my workflow package - Secondary Flow. Was working on University research project in the Department as well. When I was having less tasks to perform, I asked my superiors if I could help with any activity.

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I am thrilled by the Support given me during my placement by the department especially my Team - Spirit Team. Everyone was eager and supported where necessary. My Manager and other Team members were instrumental in my University project being carried out in the Department.

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The values and culture of the company including respect and team work were actually at work and that made me feel at peace. General atmosphere of the company was serene and welcoming, innovative and supportive.

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • A bridge between theory (what I studies in School) with practical experience was unforgettable. Terms learned such as Safety Stock, Lead times and Delivery Dates were practicalised as I worked on my responsibilities daily.
