The Role
The internship was a lot of fun. The usual business tasks and my personal objectives allowed me to learn a lot while doing them.
The team was very nice, only took a couple of weeks until I got the feeling that I was a proper team member.
When I ran into problems where I could not figure out a solution myself, my manager either helped me out or pointed me to someone who could.
The workload seemed a bit low for the first few weeks while learning about all of the systems but picked up to a manageable level afterwards. If I had spare time I could ask for more work.
Overall the level of responsibility was what I was expecting. For the first few weeks there was nearly no responsibilities but it picked up towards the end of the internship. I had my deliverable set up fairly early on into the internship so I knew what had to be done and when.
The skills I learned while doing this internship will not be of too much use during studies, but that is because my course is very theory oriented where as the internship was practical. However, the practical skills will be very valuable after I finish my course and move into an actual job.
The Company
It was fantastic. The office was recently upgraded so it was top quality equipment wise. Atmosphere wise it was also fantastic, everyone I talked to were pleasant and helpful.
The work placement was organised really well. The work objectives were thought out really well, the networking events were interesting, speaker events were even better. Overall it was a great effort.
I was given access to all online and on campus training facilities. If I was uncertain about some technology I could go and find a course, sit down during work time and do it.

As long as you prove to your manager and the company that you are willing to learn and attempt any task, I got the feeling that the company will offer an employment opportunity.
The Culture
A lot of the fellow interns stayed at the same Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵ accommodation as me so the social scene was massive. There were people doing a lot of different things every night. Couldn't ask for more.
It was really respectable, the rent was a little high but not bank breaking. Living costs were same as everywhere. Overall, you could get cheaper rent if you looked for it so it was great.
There was a few places to go to in the evening and nights. However it might get a bit repetitive if the internship was a half year long.
Yes. Load of them. You could either go out with fellow interns and do all the fun stuff or find opportunities to get involved that are organized by the company.
