About You
I very much enjoyed the insight. I got to learn a lot about J.P. Morgan and the financial industry.
Everyone was always so nice and helpful. Whenever we had a question, we were able to talk to someone about it. They provided for a great hotel to stay at and made the overall experience very good.
We were provided a map and infos at the hotel the day we arrived. Afterwards on Monday we received all the important information concerning our insight including a schedule and contact people for possible questions.
I was able to learn more about team work, which I feel will be valuable in my studies. The specific information about the different product groups etc. was very interesting to me too, but will probably not help me at my university.
The Company
The Spring Week was very well structured. It was great to get an overview over the product groups at first and afterwards go into the rotations. The group project was great to research a certain case deeper and gain more knowledge through that. The networking sessions were great to get to know the employees and more about the company's culture.
Even though I was expecting a competitive atmosphere, it was great to find the opposite of that. I felt that all the "spring weekers" got along well and we had a lot of fun together. The employees from J.P. Morgan that we got to meet were all very nice and understanding and tried to help us where ever they could. Thanks to that I felt very comfortable during the whole week.
As it was only a week, I was not yet able to get actual training. Instead of that we were able to develop more on a personal level and learn more about the open culture at J.P. Morgan and profit in that sense.
Especially the rotations and the networking session with the analysts and associates were very helpful to get an insight into what a full time role could look like.
Throughout the whole week I experienced first hand what I had been told about J.P. Morgan's culture. I was able to see that the people really did work as a team rather than as individuals trying to outshine others. People helped each other out and always tried to answer all our questions too.
The insight really made me realise that this is a career that I could see myself in.
Everything Else
I was reimbursed my expenses.
I especially enjoyed the networking tea with the analysts and associates. It helped me get an insight into what kind of work I could be doing, if I was to start a career at J.P. Morgan (or the industry in general)
Same as question before
We were given information on the activities of the analysts and associates. It sounded like a good way to be involved in "extracurriculars" besides work.
