About You
The Open Day gave me a chance to understand the type of deals that a Reed Smith lawyer would be working on.
The lawyers and members of the Graduate Recruitment team were warm and friendly.
We were given some application advice.
I learnt how media law can be applied to daily life.
The Company
The insight covered a range of topics, from panel discussions to a commercial awareness activity.
There were a few of opportunities to interact with other participants and lawyers, but most of the Open Day was filled with presentations.
There was a presentation on the legal sector, which helped me to understand the business aspect of running a law firm.
There was a short but very insightful presentation on media law, which taught me the role that Reed Smith lawyers undertake when working for clients.
The panel discussions were helpful in understanding the company culture, but it would be better if there were more lawyers present so that we could obtain more perspectives.
Everything Else
This is not an issue as I live in London.
We had the opportunity to interact with the lawyers over lunch.
The lawyer to participant ratio was quite low, and it would have been better if more lawyers had attended the lunch.
There was a presentation on Corporate Social Responsibility opportunities.
Yes. The Open Day gives one an idea of Reed Smith's culture.
