About You
It was very intense. Non-stop as soon as you're in the building until you're out 11/12 hours later.
They make you feel very comfortable, e.g. everyone replies to emails very quickly
Graduate Recruitment Team were excellent in guiding and supporting us before, during, and after the insight week.
Didn't help at all with my degree as I do a humanity but if I go into finance, the book of notes I have from the week will be invaluable. Lots of very informative presentations
The Company
Very well structured - first few days of learning before getting to do lengthy work shadowing slots on the floor
Very active - always doing something, never bored.
Surprised by the amount of effort and time that went into us. They clearly want to make sure they get the best of the best.
Ability to ask lots of questions to current workers at JP, both during presentations from them and during work shadowing. Saw for ourselves what an average day is like for some desks.
Reinforced a lot by presentations; hard to see for real unless you actually work for them.
Very informative as to what its like to work in an IB
Everything Else
Reimbursed travel (I live in London so wasn't needed to be put into accommodation)
Lots of networking events - breakfasts and lunches etc.
Tough because you feel the pressure.
Hardly any mention of that.
