About You
I really felt like I was learning the whole time, I met so many intellegent people both in the company and on the programme.
I immediately felt at easse with my peers. HR knew my name from the beginning. During teh rotations and networking events, everyone was open and willing to engage with the interns.
All questions we're welcomed and adequetly responded to.
I think it will be much easier to continue my finance studies now that I have a concrete picture of the practicalities that lie behind the theories and formulae. I also improved my teamwork and presentation skills. I think I have a better knowlege of how to present myself in the workplace.
The Company
I have never before participated in a programme so well structured in my life. Certain members of HR we're above and beyond open, encouraging and prepared.
The whole group of interns mixed well. Most of the employees we're upbeat and happy to help the interns. At certain moments it was stressful, for example working late on the project at the end of the week when we we're slightly more tired and once or twice during the rotations when our mentors had work related problems. However, I feel this is part of the job and while it wasn't 'fun' it wasn't a negative point eithir.
The programme was well structured and we recieved all the support we needed.
The rotations we're particularly insigtful. Having a real experience is more useful than a description.
Before I participated in the programme, JPMorgan was just a brand. Now I see that it's a culture where everyone supports one another and there's a place for everyone to grow and succeed.
Everything Else
I was lodged in a appartment and my travel expenses we're paid.
We met employees of sevral divisions and rankings.
Often held during meals so it was difficult to network and eat at the same time.
During the networking sessions, some employees spoke about after work activities amongst employees. However, I felt that an extensive list could have been compiled and offered to us to place more emphasis on this point. If I had not raised the question during conversation, I wouldn't have known.
It has been the most useful career event/internship I have participated in.
