About You
Thoroughly enjoyed the programme, although I wish the programme could be longer.
Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. I feel like I was part of the company during my time there as everyone was really chilled when they were with you.
There was always someone there to answer your questions and ensure that you know what you are doing. If they do not know the answer, they will refer it to someone who has the knowledge and get back to us as soon as possible.
I learnt about the importance of team work and commercial awareness in the banking industry. Having had a great interest in operations, the programme helped to ensure me that it was the right option for me.
The Company
It was very well structured, there was not a single dull moment.
The atmosphere was great and relaxed. I didnt feel being pressured which was a bonus as I could enjoy the programme more.
I can tell that they have spent a fortune on us. It is great to see there are companies out there who actually care about the personal development of an individual.
Before going to the programme, the banking industry was pretty much a myth to me. I only got to learn a little bit about it through the investment and finance society at uni. I really enjoyed my time at JPM and I would love to work full time there.
I expected JPM to be a friendly and approachable through a few conversations with the employees through email and phone before the event. However, I was totally amazed by the friendliness of the employees. It was way better than I had expected.
It was extremely valuable. I believe I have a precise idea of where I should be heading for my future career path.
Everything Else
All the expenses were paid before I arrived.
Plenty, there was even a work shadowing.
There was a networking event on the second day. A number of employees attended including EDs and MDs. It gave me a precious opportunity to find out about their day to day life as well as what they have been through before getting to where they are. It inspired me a lot.
There are loads of activities that employees an take part in JPM, including sports and networking events.
I would recommend to anyone who is interested in banking.
