About You
Great insight to how J.P. Morgan Tech works, but would have liked to spend more time shadowing some of the employees there.
They treated the spring week interns very well, made us feel at home and no question asked felt like a stupid one and everyone was treated with equal respect.
There was a lot of support during the week to help improve our skill base and abilities, some interns were more technically skilled than others but everyone was given enough help and support such that everyone was able to grow and flourish.
The internship didn't exactly give me skills to use during my degree program (physics) but it was great to do some actual real life programming, and learn about stuff outside my degree. I definitely learned some skills for life.
The Company
Well structured program, was always busy and doing activities, the fun never stopped!
Everyone there, be they interns, graduates, VPs were all very friendly and most the time during the internship was spent laughing and have a good enjoyable time.
The company invested a lot of time into the interns, a lot of the employees were busy with tasks and deadlines but still everyone found time to help you out with training and development.
I would have liked some more shadowing opportunities, I learned a lot about the company itself but it would have been nice to have actually seen everything I was told about in action.
It helped seeing the structure of the company and its culture, we were given spare time a few days around lunch to explore this for ourselves and a lot of social events.
It has definitely helped me decide whether a career in tech at JP Morgan is something i'd consider when I am older.
Everything Else
Didn't get paid, but felt no need to be, it was a great time and everything was paid for!
Every lunch time was an opportunity to network, there were socials most days in the evening and there was always new faces in the room where we did our training to talk to and network.
Everything paid for and ranged from just a night out at a bar, quizzes, lunch they were great!
Unfortunately I didn't ask this question myself, but from what I saw this week I can gather the company is very social
It was an amazing experience and I would recommend this to anyone
