The Role
Really enjoyed it. From the first week, we had a variety of lectures and were introduced to a variety of people at various levels up to MD.
My team set me a specific goal for the internship, once I had finished that early, they gave me additional JIRAs which helped them keep up to date with their backlog.
I had a half hour meeting with my manager on a weekly basis. Additionally, he spoke with me daily and highlighted any additional work I should do.
Dependent on the date, and the number of meetings. Some tasks, took longer than others.
Was treated as a team member, and had to deliver to the timescale.
I have learnt a great deal about time management as well as how to work as part of a team.
The Company
The office was open plan, which encouraged communication and daily conversations with team members.
CDP did a good job, of making sure the managers were briefed.
We had all the resrouces and training available to us. I choose to complete many of these training courses. My manager and team spent a lot of time teaching me aspects of the project.
Company Parties/Events
From the start, we were told that graduate places were up for offer.
The Culture
All the interns, socialized on a weekly basis/
Glasgow, is a great place to live in, with many bars and restaurants varying in price.
Nightlife is good, as you would expect from a Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵ city.
I didn't. Howevever, Glasgow has a mulitiude of sports activites available.
