    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was fast paced with alot of work so you really got alot of knowledge out of your experience.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • On a professional level you felt valued as part of the team, with real responsibilites and tasks that actually impacted the business, rather than being a bystander. On a personal level there were various team and office nights such a comedy shows, pub quizzes, BBQs etc that we were always welcomed and invited to.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Alot of the work was done independently, which gave us more confidence to do tasks. However we were given explanations of what to do and were given a constant touch point if we needed help.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • The internship offered various ways of learning. Through usual business as usual tasks that occured everyday to get you into a routine, but also exposed you to new projects, new teams and departments.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Alot of responsibility was passed onto the interns here. We felt that we were trusted and had earnt that responsibility. Really rewarding when the work you have done over a period of time has now allowed something to be approved or gone to the next step.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Despite my degree not being directly applicable to the line of business it aided me with a vast variety of skills that I can apply back to my degree in the way I study/handle things. But also business and working skills that I can apply to any steps I take in the future.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The office was always busy, but still maintained a relaxed and approachable vibe. This helped the work balance alot.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • There were various layers of organisation within the internship. We had our own personal managers who could execute tasks to us. Then we had a further level of senior advisors who we met up with to discuss career options and future. As well as the graduate recruiters based in London, who had organised several speaker and learning sessions, networking and social events. We were given a very clear timeline of events and deadlines.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The company allowed me to experience all lines of business to get a good High level knowledge and understanding of the business itself. There were online training portals that we could work through to gain a insight into the JP Morgan way.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵs/colleagues?
  • There were numerous events offered to us, some organised by the internship itself, but also amongst the other graduates/interns. This ranged from lunches/dinners, drinks, comedy events, BBQ, pub quizzes, cross office entertainments.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
