Overview
Rotated clients weekly, which gave us exposure to a variety of industries and working styles. On a day-to-day basis, our tasks typically involved casting and calling, handling invoices, and adjusting our approach depending on the client's processes. We also supported general audit procedures, though the work was relatively straightforward and not overly complex.

Responsibilities
I primarily worked on low-risk areas of the audit, with limited responsibilities, which allowed me to build a solid understanding of core processes and develop attention to detail.
Support & Guidance
Once at BDO, the office experience really depended on the manager overseeing each audit, since everyone was assigned to different engagements. The quality and depth of training varied—if your manager was more hands-on, you received more guidance and support. If not, you were often expected to work independently. So overall, it came down to the dynamics of the team and how collaborative the environment was.
Culture
Really welcoming, although is team dependent.
Your Impressions
I somewhat enjoyed my internship experience. While there were moments when managers were preoccupied with their own tasks, leaving us without much to do, the summer internship team did a great job organizing talks and training sessions that made us feel valued. However, once assigned to an audit engagement, the quality of the experience depended heavily on the specific team and manager.
