Overview
I worked on matters relating to significant energy, infrastructure, and development projects, which gave me a clearer view of how they鈥檙e delivered in practice. I was given varied and meaningful work, including drafting emails to clients, conducting research into policy, case law, and project-specific issues, preparing due diligence reports, and creating PowerPoints for business development and client use.
Skills
The biggest skill I developed was legal research, I became faster and more focused when identifying relevant policies, case law, and guidance. I also learnt how to leverage legal technology such as Lexis AI to streamline the process.
Business Insight
The scheme provided a good opportunity to speak to people in different departments and to learn more about the work they do and the opportunities available.
