Overview
Got involved in live-matters on contentious insolvency matters, attended court hearings, drafted research notes on new case law for the Restructuring and Insolvency Conference 2025 held by the firm.

Business Insight
It really made you picture what your career not only at the firm may look like, but throughout your entire legal journey. Through speaking to and drawing wisdom from recent trainees to seasoned partners, everyone's route into the firm was unique to their own lives. Their are so many teams, so many areas of law, and so many support staff outside of law, which all contribute to this mechanism which is Pinsent Masons.
Culture
Everyone was easy to speak to. There wasn't a single person I met who wasn't willing to have a chat, and share their experiences at the firm. It really put me at ease from the start.
Your Impressions
I had no expectations going in, but if I did go in with any, this would have surely exceeded them. I finished work on the first week and looked forward to coming in next Monday. I'm not sure how many law firms can make you feel that way.
Yes
All of us on the scheme had come from different backgrounds and had different personalities. I think we were (partly) chosen because we all authentic. We never tried to fit into a corporate mould and Pinsents didn't put us in a position to do so, obviously within reason! So to those applying, be honest and truthful in your motivations for joining and the experience you wish to gain. Not being yourself would be tiring.
