Overview
Within the payer team, I gained experience of the drug development process, developed my R and SAS programming skills, and learnt how to produce detailed statistical outputs to aid health economic decision making. Using a range of statistical techniques such as network meta-analysis, time-to-event models and logistic regression models, I produced daily reports consisting of tables and graphs to showcase treatment effects and made informed decisions as a result.

Responsibilities
I was given small responsibility, with requests coming in for me to fulfil and send off for validation though I was not expected to make any decisions and my involvement in the discussion of results and next steps was minimal.

Members of my team were very supportive and helpful, always happy to offer guidance. I felt comfortable to reach out with any questions.
Culture
The atmosphere is very relaxed and the people very friendly.
Your Impressions
I have enjoyed the placement here at AZ- particularly liking the work-life balance. The work became slightly repetitive towards the end but that was the nature of the role.
