Overview
My role is a rapidly changing one, with tasks being primarily adhoc and working in projects. This has been great for my placement as it has allowed me to improve various skills as well as preventing my job becoming mundane.
Skills
I have massively improved my proficiency on excel as learning completely new software's I have never used before. There have been many trainings I have been offered by the company that I have completed that have allowed me to grow my knowledge on skills needed in the industry.
Responsibilities
I was given far more responsibility than I expected when I joined which has been massively fulfilling - I have presented in whole team meetings as well as completing projects requested from other areas of the business completely individually and being trusted to implement these.
Support & Guidance
My entire team has been massively helpful and welcoming if I were to ever have a question or issue as well as being massively helpful when I was learning my role when I first joined.
Culture
The company culture is one of the standout benefits of BMW, they're massively inclusive and every person strives to be friendly and helpful to others which makes it a massively enjoyable place to work.
Your Impressions
I would recommend a placement at BMW to anyone striving to get one. I have thoroughly enjoyed and been fulfilled by work as well as enjoying coming into work due to the social work as well, it has been a great place to learn new skills and improve as a person over the year.
Yes
I would encourage people to be themselves in interviews and do not pretend to be the perfect candidate you believe they want to see. Managers want to see a curious and motivated person who is themselves and not playing up to an expectation as it is easy to see through.
