Overview
My role involves targeting businesses for potential buy side and sell side M&A transactions, justifying valuations of businesses and identifying buyers for businesses. The majority of my work takes place in the early stages of sell side acquisition advisory.
Skills
I have developed excellent skills with all microsoft office applications as well as other applications too. I have also gained an in depth understanding of the world of corporate finance and what it entails.
Responsibilities
Very minimal responsibility throughout - with this creeping up to maybe a 4/10 in the final stages of my placement.
Support & Guidance
I have been given vast amounts of resources to develop my own skills, however there has been a lack of willingness from team members to spend time helping me train.
Culture
The company culture is okay - it is not a main attraction for me but it is a relatively friendly atmosphere.
Your Impressions
Enjoy is maybe the wrong word - however I have gained many invaluable skills from my internship and would recommend it to anyone considering.
Yes
I would recommend that they consider their own persistence and initiative as you may to make things happen for yourself as a placement here.
