    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • The main day-to-day tasks I had to do in my role were to keep track of learning hours, invite employees onto trainings, as well as help in the organisation and execution of those trainings and others. I would communicate with both internal and external facilitators, answer emails and work on various different projects. I also had a an ongoing project throughout my placement which required daily attention for registrations, scheduling and executing.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • Some skills I was able to improve and develop were: data quality and visualisation trough working with big data sets and curating presentations; critical thinking, brand building, budget management and content creating by working on my ongoing project; prioritisation, stress and energy managment by working on a plethora of daily tasks. I also further developed my Excel and PowerPoint skills trough going on trainings and working with the programs daily.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I was given my own responsibilities from day one. Since the very beginning I was handed over a project and I had to look after it's execution, scheduling, attendance and budget. Other responsibilities would vary throughout my internship. I would have major ownership of some tasks which was then transferred onto a new team member, so I could take on a more active, in-depth responsibility with the organisation of other ongoing trainings and projects

  • Please rate how meaningful the work you were doing was

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I was placed in a wonderful team which was always there for me when I needed help. I was always welcome to ask as many questions as needed and when a new task came my way there was always someone who would go over the process with me and would help with any difficulties which would arise in future execution.
