The insight involved a mix of workshops, networking, and practical activities. Each day included sessions on personal branding, presentation and networking skills. We worked through case studies in teams and presented our findings to an audience. A key highlight was networking with employees at all levels, from Analysts to Managing Directors, which gave me a clear picture of their day-to-day roles and career journeys.

I developed my presentation skills by learning how to communicate ideas clearly and confidently in front of an audience. I also learnt how to network effectively by building genuine connections and asking thoughtful questions during conversations with professionals across different levels.

We gained valuable insights into a range of roles by hearing directly from Analysts through to Managing Directors, which helped me understand different career paths within the firm. However, it would’ve been even more beneficial to explore a wider variety of roles across other areas of J.P. Morgan to get a fuller picture of the opportunities available.

The culture at J.P. Morgan was incredibly inclusive and welcoming. Everyone, from senior leaders to junior employees, was approachable and happy to share their experiences. The atmosphere was supportive and collaborative, which made it easy to ask questions and get involved.

I really enjoyed the insight, it was a great mix of learning, networking, and hands-on experience. The sessions were engaging, and being able to connect with professionals across the firm made it even more valuable. It gave me a genuine feel for the culture and confirmed my interest in a career at J.P. Morgan.

My biggest tip would be to just be yourself when applying. J.P. Morgan really values authenticity, so don’t be afraid to show your personality and what makes you unique..
