Overview
Over the two days, we attended a variety of workshops, panel discussions, and case study sessions, took part in a mock mediation, and experienced work shadowing with a trainee 鈥� all of which gave a valuable insight into life at Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF).
Skills
The workshop significantly enhanced my commercial awareness, particularly through the case studies and discussions around real-life matters. While that was my main area of development, it also reinforced my understanding of the skills and mindset required to thrive as a trainee at a commercial law firm.
Business Insight
It was insightful to learn how the firm operates as a business and to explore the range of roles available, especially the day-to-day responsibilities of a solicitor.
Culture
The atmosphere was friendly and supportive, and it was clear that everyone genuinely cared about us. The experience truly reflected HSF鈥檚 core values of being human, bold, and outstanding.
