Action and reduce webcycles as much as possible as well as running weekly reports, raise Candex orders for smaller suppliers, send Capex figures to corporate at month end, run GRN reports to make sure spend is comitted in the correct month, reconcile marketing trackers each month, train users on budget trackers and MyMarket usage, update month end landing files and run reports, run month end managemnt book.
Skills
Excel skills have massively increased, confidence and team work working with a number of different individuals across the marketing teams. Learning much more about the finance industry as a whole - especially coming from a non-finance degree and background.
Responsibilities
Yes I was given a good amount of responsibility in the placement with important reports and being given tasks that I am solely resonsible for that have a large impact on the business as a whole.
Support & Guidance
I recieved a fair amount of support but did the majority of my learning by doing the job and learning as I go. It was very overwhelming the amount of things to do and remember at first but within a month you feel much better.
Culture
Culture and atmosphere is very friendly and super welcoming and fun. A very enjoyable place to work
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed it and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I wish I had done even more to enjoy it further and build better bonds with the teams I work with but still very satisfied.
Yes
Early on don't panic that there appears to be a lot of complex stuff to do - you will learn fast doing things every day. Work hard to network loads and get to know as many people as possible as quickly as possible
