It was an amazing experience. JP Morgan invest so much time and effort into their intern programs to attract top talent. It had a good mix of job shadowing, coding challenges, team building exercises and networking events. I definitely got a good insight into what a technology job with JP Morgan would be like during this insight week.

I felt extremely valued. All the recruiters are incredibly friendly and make you feel very at ease during your time with them. You get to meet managers and analysts who all give up their time for the interns. Also, breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided for you during the insight.

During the coding challenges there were mentors there to help your team as well as to assess the individual members of the team. During the work shadowing sessions, the analysts were always so helpful and willing to answer all the questions you may have about what its like to work at JP Morgan

The coding challenges were a new experience for me whereby 4-5 interns would work on the same computer to try and complete the challenge. Mob programming is not something that I had ever done in university and it certainly enhanced my team work and communication skills. The challenges themselves were not overly technical so it was more focused on improving soft skills

The entire insight went like clockwork. On the first day we were given a very informative booklet and a schedule for the week and the schedule was adhered to the entire time. There was never any delays or issues during the insight and almost every minute of the day was productive.

All the interns were very friendly and we all got on well together. There was a huge mix of different nationalities among the interns which made it all the better. There was some friendly competitiveness during the coding challenges. The social events in the evening time were great and it was nice to meet people in a less formal setting.

I definitely improved my soft skills a lot. I learned how important it is to network in large company like JP Morgan and got talk with employees from the graduate program right up to managing directors within JPM. Every day involved different team challenges so I really got to work on my communication skills

The job shadowing gave a first hand insight into what working with JP Morgan would be like. Most of them were from the grad program so it was nice to see what I would likely end up doing if I got a job with JP Morgan. Also I saw how it is possible to move around across different teams very easily.

Incredibly valuable. I would recommend anyone to do this insight week. Even if you don't think you want to work in a bank. You have nothing to lose by doing it and a lot to gain from it. Also staying in a nice hotel and getting all your meals provided is a huge benefit.

I had to travel from outside of London so JP Morgan covered the cost of my flights and provided amazing accommodation and a travel pass for the underground etc.

Constantly. Every lunch time we got to meet new people. In the social events in the evening we got to network with JP Mogran employees in a less formal setting. Getting the opportunity to talk to managing directors within JP Morgan was really useful and it made me feel very valued during the insight.

I honestly can't recommend it enough. JP Morgan invest a lot of time and money into this program which is very apparent during your time there. Even if you have no intention of working in a bank you will still get to meet cool new people and improve your soft skills.
