The Role
The summer internship has been an incredible, character building experience. It was very challenging and intense with many highs and lows but overall I could not have wished for a better 2.5 months. I have met some incredible people, worked on very interesting projects and developed both academically and as a person.
The team I was with was very supportive and friendly. They made me feel like I belonged from the first day and I have developed some close relationships with some of my colleagues. The HR is also very supportive and is always there to answer any questions you may have.
The supervisors were very supportive and gave me constant feedback on how to improve. They were always available for clarifications and further explanations. They also organised lunches and events to get to know the team which was very helpful in feeling welcomed.
There were many different tasks and projects to be involved in. There was always something to do and a lot to learn. The tasks included a great balance and diversity of skills and I could not have asked for a better taste of what the job is like full time.
A few weeks into the program I was given a lot of responsibility in helping out with the projects. Of course this responsibility was given gradually after showing commitment and improvement.
I have gained great skills both professional and personal. I learned the value of hard work, commitment, dedication and team work. It was a great experience and I am grateful I got to live it
The Company
There was a great atmosphere in the office. Everyone was friendly and always willing to help. Feedback was given in a concrete way that helped me improve from week to week. There was a great team spirit that helps you stay motivated and drives you to work hard and perform to your highest potential.
The internship was well organised both by HR and by the specific team. There were teach in sessions to develop the required skills within the team which were really beneficial. There were also many HR events, panels and talks that increased our learning and overall experience.
There was a lot of effort and investment in making sure the interns will have a great experience and develop throughout the internship. This was seen from the numerous HR events to the training sessions and one on one mentor catch ups.
There are many opportunities to grow and develop within the firm
The Culture
Both the colleagues, management, HR and the other interns were all helpful, kind and supportive. There is also a buddy system that is very helpful. I have developed strong relationships both with the other interns, my buddy and colleagues.
London is full of great places
