    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The strengths of JP Morgan Technology are its culture, and the autonomy and responsibility given to new joiners. However, the weaknesses are the type of work received, which involve around mundane development, doesn't leverage new technologies and doesn't try to disrupt. It is more about technology in a bank rather than financial technology. The issue is not fundamental to JPM but the banks emphasis on stability. I also would've appreciated a greater exposure to front office business functions and financial knowledge.

    3/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • My team consisted of 3 other interns. Being at the same junior level made it easy to communicate and trust each other. Our work was appreciated as it brought great value to colleagues in the horizontal teams.
