The Role
Extremely enjoyed my time here and did not want it to end.
All colleagues were very friendly, welcoming and always found the time to help me no matter how busy they were or what level they are
Management gave me enough guidance in the early days to get settled and then let me adapt on my own but were always there if I struggled
Found I always had some work to do and never felt like I was over worked however the first couple of weeks were very quiet for me.
Made an admin to an important project management tool and had a part to play in the Quarterly Business Review for very senior management
I have vastly improved my Excel skills and my knowledge of various financial statements which will be perfect for my final year and I've also gained many communication and networking skills that will set me up for life.
The Company
The staff were always friendly and willing to chat but everyone was also very hardworking which rubbed off on each other
Apart from a lack of access to software in the first week or so everything else was set up seamlessly and had no real issues with organisation. The project I was given ran perfectly through the course of the internsip
I had 1 on 1 training sessions with different tools and processes, online training courses, well thought out new joiners deck and plenty of networking sessions to help me develop
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Travel loan
Still on the 8th week of internship and will find out if I got a job offer on the last day but the mid-internship review was positive as has the weekly feedback from my manager. I can see myself working here for a long time. would've been 10 stars if I knew whether I was getting a job offer or not. Even if I don't I'd definitely apply again.
The Culture
Several different intern events/socials where I have made some strong friendships already.
Very expensive to live in London but the company have helped with this by paying London interns more than Bournemouth interns
Excellent nightlife, especially in the bars on Thursday's and various clubs to cater for everyone around London
Lots of societies and sports groups offered
