About You
Loved it! Everything was very thought out, we had a very fixed schedule. All the other spring weekers were very nice. We worked as a team to better each other rather than be in competition.
The people working in HR really valued us. Not only did we get the opportunity to speak to several grads we also had the chance to speak to multiple VP and EDs.
A Lot! The key is to always ask question if you are unsure.
Definitley skills learned will stick with me. Learning about operations did help with modules I will be taking next year. However what is great is, we learned how to socialise in a formal setting, etc.
The Company
We were given a schedule, which we followed throughout the program.
J.P Morgan definitely put a lot of emphasis on team work and networking. Therefore the environment was not competitive, everybody was there to help you or each other.
A lot! On the first day they basically treated us like their clients. We were very pampered.
Understood as much as I can, it varies with each sub sector of operations. But during the insight we spoke to so many people so we definitely understood the basic of it.
They always stress their culture, J.P Morgan is unlike another, teamwork, execution.
Very very useful. As said in other answers, but also they told us what they look for in an employee so people would be able to understand the expectations.
Everything Else
The program will reimburse you for your travels and accommodations. However I study in London therefore nothi was reimbursed to me.
We networked everyday, probably 1/2 of the time was dedicated to networking.
Very good! Very unexpected. We mainly spoke to VPs and EDs.
Yes a lot of them. Everybody did tell us about social events or societies you could join.
I already have! It is definitley a great program if you want to know more about IB.
