Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵ

The insight was extremely fun and educative. The time spent there enabled me to understand whether I was fit for the job and whether I could see myself working there in the future. It was also a great chance to meet a very diverse group of likely minded Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵs who want to pursue a career in Banking just like I do.

Most employees were willing and happy to help even though they were not directly involved with the spring week. This created a very supportive environment were I felt looked after. This aspect was particularly important as it enabled me to feel at ease and ask questions whenever I wanted to understand more about the firm.

The support received was excellent, at no stage we did not know what to do. The HR staff was extremely welcoming and helpful in guiding us throughout the week. Also, it was easy to ask employees for help during the week as they were quite approachable despite the busy working environment.

Studying a subject that was not directly related to Banking meant that I was constantly learning. Working on several group projects also allowed for the development of my soft skills. The information that was received would definitely help me make a more informed decision when deciding what career path I would like to pursue. The skills developed and the information received would not directly impact my degree studies, but they will definitely help beyond.

The insight was extremely well structured. The days were comprehensively planned and enabled us to gain as much as possible from the week. The talks delivered by the different divisions allowed for a good overview of the firm in combination to exposure to the work performed in these divisions. Shadowing enabled me to understand the work performed on a daily basis.

The general atmosphere was great. With an extremely diverse and international cohort, it was a pleasure to network and get to know the other participants. The other Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵs were nice and ready to cooperate on the group tasks. This was reflected on the good turnout to the social events during the evenings. These were well organised by the HR staff and proved to be one of the highlights of the week.

The company invested a significant amount in my personal training and development. This was shown by the presence of senior workers during presentations as well as during the final presentation that was delivered by Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵs. In addition, during the shadowing stage of the spring week, everyone was willing to help.

The insight help a fair amount to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company. However, the limited shadowing opportunities meant that it was not possible to gain a comprehensive overview of the work that was performed on a daily basis from the firm's employees.

The insight enabled us to understand the company culture as we were constantly exposed to the environment. It was the perfect chance to see the firm's values put into action and overall it was a very educative experience.

With an academic background that is not related to banking meant that this insight was the perfect opportunity to see if this sector was right for me. The content deliver during the week was pivotal in order to determine whether I could find a space in this industry. This insight week as definitely encouraged me to pursue a career in this sector.

There were plenty of opportunities to meet and network with other employees of the firm. For example, a lunch with senior members of the business was organised. This enabled us to network with people that have been working at the firm for a long time and pick up their views regarding the working for the firm.

The networking/social event opportunities were really useful. They enabled us to get to know the firm through different environments. From more formal ones to informal ones. Most importantly, the social events allowed us to get to know each other as cohort. It was particularly useful as it enabled the formations of friendships which will hopefully last in time.

This was an aspect that was not particularly covered during the week. I personally did not ask therefore it would be hard for me to comment on this.

I would definitely recommend this to a friend as I found it an incredible experience for various reasons. From the people that I met, to the things I learnt about myself and the firm; it was an unforgettable experience that will hopefully positively shape my life.
