    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • It was a really enjoyable week. Lots of things contributed to this, from the people I came into contact with to the quality and breadth of the insight activities. As well as this, there was a clear effort from HR to ensure we enjoyed our week, with socials arranged for us on two of the nights which were a great way to get to know other spring weekers and relax.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • It was clear that a lot of time and resources had been put into arranging the week, which made me feel valued. The J.P. Morgan staff were all more than happy to spend time talking with us whether it was during a networking lunch, work shadowing or telling us about their role.

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • I don't feel there was much need for guidance during the week. The time we did need support was during planning for our presentations, for which I received brilliant support from the analysts assigned to me.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I don't think they will particularly help me in my degree studies except for perhaps helping pick modules that are relevant to my future career. However, during the Spring Week I learnt a lot of information about both Asset/Wealth Management and J.P. Morgan as a company, as well as many transferable skills that I believe will assist me beyond my degree.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • The insight was very well structured. Our timetables were filled with back-to-back activities, and everyone always knew what we were supposed to be doing.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Some activities were inherently more 'fun' than others, for example a team building game we took part in. Overall it was a good general atmosphere, and they tried to make sessions as interactive as possible.

    4/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • An outside company was brought in to provide us sessions on presentation and interview skills. This really impressed me and I feel really showed that they were invested in our personal development.

    5/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • I think this is something hard to understand from just one week's insight. We did have work shadowing sessions which gave a view into what analysts do on a day-to-day basis so this gave me an idea.

    4/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • I feel like I got a good understanding of the company culture during the insight, from the way employees interacted with each other and the way they spoke about the company. The impression I received was very positive.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • Simply being able to find out more about the different roles available within Asset and Wealth Management respectively, and what skills are necessary for each, was helpful in determining my future career path.

    4/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • Travel and accommodation were paid for by J.P. Morgan

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Networking had a big presence within the week. There were lots of opportunities for networking with employees, other spring week attendees including those in IBD and Markets, and last year's spring weekers, so we were able to meet a wide range of helpful individuals during our time there.

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • The events were organised well and there was always a good ratio of employees to spring interns which made a great opportunity to really ask everything you want to know and get in-depth answers.

    5/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Not really relevant on a Spring Week.

    3/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • It was a fantastic experience that I'm very grateful to have had the opportunity to take part in and I would definitely recommend attending should you get the chance.

    5/5
