About You
The Partner I shadowed during my insight week at PwC was really friendly and organised the week extremely well, allowing me to really get to know how it's like to work at PwC.
I did feel that they really wanted me to experience the company so that I will consider joining/applying for a graduate job after.
The analysts I shadowed shared their experiences and tips for applying for graduate jobs and what to do during the insight week which was really helpful.
You learn a lot of people skills and networking skills.
The Company
It was a bit confusing because PwC outsources certain things to another company so some emails were misleading and issued twice by both companies but once I got to PwC, it was extremely well organised.
Very professional yet friendly environment, everyone was keen to help me.
The internship was too short for their to be any training/development.
It would have been good to shadow some other graduates rather than just the partner to actually get to know what sort of work they do.
I was based at the London office so I really got to know how the company culture was like there.
It was valuable to see what sort of work a partner at PwC would do because if that is not something that attracts me then I know I shouldn't apply for a position there.
Everything Else
I was paid for the week and any transportation fees with the partner was paid by her.
Yes I got to meet everyone the partner was working with and even got to go to a client pitch.
Not really, I was only shadowing a female partner so there wasn't any social events that I attended but I got to meet everyone she was working with.
Yes, someone showed me their Spark network and told me that there are many clubs/societies that I can join.
It's definitely worth it, it only takes out a week of your holiday and you get paid. There isn't any normal intern work, it's just more of a way to get to know the company and PwC's culture.
