The Role
I have really enjoyed having the opportunity to experience working life by being part of a team and working with a variety of people and different types of work. It has given me
It is difficult to feel valued when you are coming into a role you have little knowledge of. However my colleagues went to great lengths to make sure that I understood what was happening and that I was able to contribute meaningful work with the skills I possess. They made sure that I did not feel like i was a hindrance or inconvenience at any point, which had been something I was really concerned about going into the internship.
I was given clear guidance and support by those who gave me work but also through the role of my buddy and people manager. At no stage did I feel like I was left alone, unsure of what to do or how to proceed.
At times I found myself with little or no work however as the internship progressed this became less often, as more people worked with me, realised my capabilities and gave me repeat work etc.
I was given more responsibility then I expected, as much as anyone coming in as a 6 week intern with no technical knowledge could expect!
My degree studies are unrelated to the internship I did. However I feel the skills I have learnt in the last month will massively help me beyond my degree studies.
The Company
Very friendly and welcoming. The team made me feel included immediately which had a massive impact on how much I enjoyed my internship. The firm in general made sure that as interns we felt welcomed and like we were full-time employees joining the firm not only here for 6 weeks.
Very well organised and set up, cannot fault the internship process at a whole!
Way more than I expected, I was genuinely surprised with how much time and expense was put into my internship. I feel like they placed my personal training and development right at the heart of the process

Company Parties/Events
Very appealing. I hope that I have secured a permanent place with PwC. If I have I will be accepting
The Culture
Yes, although beyond the first week this was not facilitated by the firm but by the interns ourselves. This would be my biggest criticism of the whole process. More should be done by the firm to encourage intern socialising throughout the internship. I was placed in London and had moved here especially for the internship. I know I personally would have liked to have more encouraged socialising with other interns.
High but that is to be expected in central London!
We went for after work drinks as a team a few times
Not enough, again my biggest and only criticism
