The Role
I really enjoyed working for Pwc and I was surprised about how much responsbility I was given, and also the opportunities to meet with clients.
My colleagues always went out of thier way to help me learn and attend meetings with them, and updates on any projects I was involved in which made me feel valued right from the start
We were assigned 'buddy's' when we first arrived in the office who were our main point of contact for any questions or help.
It did vary hugely, some days I would have so much work to do it would almost be slightly stressful and other days I didn't have anything to do.
Some managers and partners gave me huge responsbility and others didn't i would say it varies a lot.
The Company
It was a very friendly and social atmosphere in the office, a lot more relaxed than I expected. Everyone was really approachable and the fact that you sit in different desks everyday means you interact with lots of differnet people
Pwc organisaed the internship very well, the inductions were very well organised, there were no mishaps or anything. Everything was very structured which made it easy for the interns.
I think it varies for which team you are in, obviously everyone recieves the first week induction but i would not say this is particularly detailed or personal it is more a crash course in your line of service. One thing which is good is that you set objectives for your internship and are assigned a people manager to help you with this. You then collect feedback throughout and then use this to see how you've ,met your objectives.
Future employment prospects are very appealing with Pwc, everyone is very friendly and always willing to help.
