The Role
I thought the internship was very enjoyable. The office had a very friendly atmosphere and from day one, I was given responsibility in real projects and the opportunity to work with senior colleagues. Day-to-day tasks were both challenging and enjoyable.
I felt valued as a team member and was treated as a full time employee rather than as an intern. The team would help with any questions or concerns that I had and I was invited to all social and lunch events that took place.
A lot of support was provided and available to me as soon as I joined PwC. We had a two day induction which was great fun and I was designated a people manager as well as a buddy for help with the smaller day-to-day issues in the office. The supervisor on my project was very supportive and always open to questions/comments.
My workload varied from day to day. In general, I was given enough work to keep me busy but not stressed. There were a few afternoons where there was little work to do.
I worked on a small project with only 3 colleagues and therefore had a significant impact on the delivery of the project.
I think that the soft skills that I learnt during my internship will be very helpful for any career in the future. A lot of time is spent developing presentation, communication and team work skills.
The Company
The office atmosphere was very friendly and relaxed. My team was very friendly and we had lunch together everyday. Social events were also organised every month.
The internship was very well structured and organised. The two/three day residential induction was a great way to meet other interns and learn more about PwC in general - a 6 week 西瓜视频 challenge was also introduced here which also gave us the chance to meet up again after the 6 week internship. Once in the office, there was continued support with regular online presentations and a designated buddy for any additional questions.
PwC invested a lot of time to ensure that I was comfortable working in the office. The residential induction was an excellent way to start the internship and learn more about the line of service that we would be working within.
I hope to recieve a gradute offer from PwC on completion of the internship.
The Culture
The two day residential induction at the start of the internship was a great way to meet other interns. In the office, we had monthly socials and my team went for lunch together everyday. There were quite a few spontaneuos trips to the pub after work.
I lived at home during the internship. Socialising in London was expensive as expected but the office location was great and there is always plenty to do.
I regularly went out for drinks after work and attended the social events that my area organised.
There were several opportunities to get involved in social events after work, mainly a trip to the local.
