The Role
My placement was a bit long I thought as it was 11 months but there were days when I really got bored because there was not much work and responsibility. In the start I was very excited and the first few months were really interesting.
My colleagues were very friendly and the environment was very good. I was allowed to ask any questions I would like and no question was considered 'stupid'. Any employee of PwC would treat with respect and was humble.
My manager was not really good and he did not have proper communication with me. He did not give me the exposure/varied work which I would have liked and would be challenging for me. In 11 months, I did not spend even a day on client site.
I was pretty busy most of days but all was boring and not challenging work. Sometimes I used to work like crazy hours such as 12 hours and few days I have worked till midnight. PwC does not expects you to say no to any work.
I was given responsibility of doing some boring PowerPoint and excel work. To be honest, they did not give me enough work and all the work which they gave me was not challenging and boring. I was sometimes just sitting on the desk doing nothing.
I developed some skills in contracting and procurement and some software skills which will be very useful in future. I also developed skills on how to manage time effectively and how to prioritize and organize important tasks.
The Company
The atmosphere was pretty good. There are desks and I just needed to reserve it and then I can sit and use them for the day. Everyone used to be pretty busy. People are very friendly and sometimes colleagues talk loudly on the phone which was a bit distracting at times.
I am pretty unhappy with the way my department and my manager organized my placement. They said a lot in the start of different experience and exposure but they never gave. Instead they kept me busy with boring stuff and I sometimes had to beg for work.
The company invested little for training and they only focused on on-the-job training. They did not provide specific training for the tasks that I was given and had high expectations from my work. This was pretty disappointing for me.

Working from home
It looks very good to have PwC on your CV as it has a good brand image but it does not matters much for the graduate jobs as recruiters look at their own test results and assessment centre. It is still better to have.
The Culture
We used to have occasional dinners and night outs with other placement 西瓜视频s but mostly I was busy with my team and department. I reckon we placement 西瓜视频s went out 4-5 times out for dinner/night parties in 11 months.
Belfast is very cheap to live and transport and housing is also very cheap. But the wage I used to get is very low so I would prefer to work and live somewhere in Mainland.
Nightlife is not really good. Only a few pubs/clubs
Not many. PwC makes you work so hard that there isnt much time.
