    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Very enjoyable experience, meeting new people, continually working with a wide rage of clients allows you to develop many skills in such a short period of time.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Coleagues are always there to help, and never just give you the simple admin tasks, but give you tasks of real difficulty which really challenges you during the internship.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Management and supervisors always available for support. Each team usually sits together when working on a specific client so they are readily available to help. They never make you feel nervous or shy about asking for support and continually encourage questions.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Fairly busy, you will always have client work to be getting on with, however it's up to you to gain the most out of the internship therefore actively seeking new opportunities and challenges during your internship is key.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Right from the very first day you get 'thrown in the deep end'. You are not expected to get everything right but you will be given valuable work with very important clients. My first 2 days involved working for one of the MK offices biggest clients, so you will get a lot of responsibility from the start to the finish.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Because I study Economics, the basic accounting skills learnt will not have a great impact just yet. However, the people you meet and the new experiences you gain will be very valuable for the future.

    3/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • A fun and enjoyable atmosphere in the office, with a very good worth ethic. There are always socials happening so getting involved and making friends, and then working with those people is a lot of fun. Because the MK office is relatively smaller than the other offices (125 people), it is good to work in an environment whereby everybody knows each other creating a family-like atmosphere.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very well organised. You are continually informed of any activity via email or phone call by the recruitment team. The company takes care of you very well, ensuring any transport/accomodation (for client jobs)/ and food expenses while out on company activity are taken care of.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • PWC invest very heavily in you. From the first week, all interns from all offices are placed in a hotel where you take part in team building activities and training exercises to ensure you are ready for the internship.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    Subsidised/Company Gym

    National Travel

    Company Parties/Events

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • PWC gives all interns an opportunity to advance to a graduate job with them if you perform well in the internship and show them your eagerness and desire to learn and advance within the firm.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement 西瓜视频s/colleagues?
  • Very good social scene within the MK office, especially since everybody knows eachother. There are activities such as weekly football, pub quiz and other socials to make you internship as enjoyable as possible

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • MK is slightly more expensive than other locations, however cheaper than most London locations.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Very good bars really close to the office.

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Able to take part in the social committee to get involved in organising future company events and socials.

    4/5
