The Role
It was really enjoyable because everyone at the office was nice and the programme was set out so that I learnt a lot in the time. With a three day induction, which involved some training and meeting all the other interns. Other projects to be working through during summer and other information such as WebEx vlogs.
I felt very valued, all my colleagues were eager to get my help and would ask me to help them out with anything. Sometimes it wasn't that I could do much so they'd ask me to do some scanning or some other slightly tedious tasks but they acknowledged that they were tedious and were extremely appreciative for me doing them.
I had a People Manager who was helping me through all my objectives and making sure I achieved them. This was really helpful as the amount of support he provided helped me achieve my ambitious objectives.
I could always find work to do, as there would be someone needing me. However it wasn't too much that I still had time to look through some parts that I had learnt that interested me and meant I had more time to take a step back and think what I was doing.
I was given quite a lot of responsibility. It was quite hard for them to give me too much responsibility as I didn't know anything about the job and it was quite specific. However I did things that were very important to the process and definitely contributed to work that was chargeable to clients.
One big thing was the networking aspect, where they constantly emphasize building your networks and create events and opportunities for you to do so. This is something I believe will be extremely important throughout my life.
The Company
I wouldn't say the 'Fun Never Stopped' but it was an amazing atmosphere. Everyone was super relaxed and so eager to help, or even just chat about personal stuff. It made me feel at ease and be able to talk to anyone I wanted.
It has clearly been set up with a good plan of different activities to be done. I think potentially we should have been scheduled onto clients before we arrived but having been here, I can seen the challenges that arise with that.
At the induction, we were put up in a nice hotel with all meals paid for and three drinks every night. Also the different HR staff did a lot to make sure we were getting involved with PwC as much as possible.

Many people have told me that there chances of getting a job are between 90 to 97% which is extremely high. That is just a rumour, but there is a strong feeling that you really have to mess up to not be given a job.
The Culture
The office I was at was relatively small so it was hard to create a massive atmosphere with four people, which also didn't help when some were out at clients. However we all bonded well, went for lunch together and got involved in the different social events together.
It was not London prices which is obviously a massive bonus but it was still relatively expensive.
I didn't go out in the area whilst I was working there since I was living at home.
There were lots of opportunities, including sports such as Football, Rounders and Cricket. There were other events such as drinks networking and pub quizzes.
