The Role
I really enjoyed the induction and getting to know everyone, the Dragons Den project at the end will bring us back together before we head back to University and that will allow us to talk about our experiences.
Everyone is always willling to help. If you go to them to ask if they have anything you can do or help with they will try their best to find something for you. They treat you just like any other member of the team.
My people manager constantly checked to see if I was okay and I had enough work to do. He has regular catch up meetings to see how it is going and what he can help me to achieve in regards to my targets.
There is some days where I may struggle to find work or not have anything to do. This is usually the case because it is quite period in the office and there is usually only bits and pieces to do. I also believe I am the first intern in this office for this department and therefore they may not know what kind of work to be giving me.
I dealt with many client cases however not directly interacting with clients. I was given work to complete on my own without someone having to look over me.
Allowed me to experience working life and aspects of an accounting firm. This will help me in my module next year and also help me decide if this is what I'd like to go into after I graduate.
