The Role
I have really enjoyed the internship, I have been given a lot of different tasks on very diverse clients and what I have really appreciated is that I received a lot of coaching and never felt scared to ask for help.
I felt really appreciated and treated as if I was a member of the team. Everyone was being very helpful and tried hard to help me develop my skills and find out as much about the company and the service it provides. I really appreciated the fact that I could go and ask whoever in the office and I would always recieve great support
Everyone was being extremely helpful, trying to make sure I understand my tasks properly and that I perform my best.
It really depended on the client I was on. Most of the time I would have just enough to get through in the working hours. If I was less busy, at least I had free time to do all the required training.
Again it really depends on the project I was on. On some of them I was mainly observing, taking minutes and doing some work. However, on a different client I was dealing with clients all day round and preparing all the documentation. I was also responsible to sending a media review to all Scotland offices. I was given just enough responsibility.
It is difficult to estimate how it will impact my future studies and career. I probably do not even realise the extend of skills I have developed over this past weeks. I have definitely learn a lot.
The Company
The office is really proffesional but at the same time really relaxed. Everyone is happy to chat to everyone, have lunch in different group and in general it was extremely friendly. I really enjoyed working in the office. I felt like I became a part of it really quickly.
It was very well organised. The only minus was my arrival to the training in Birmingham, when the taxi driver lost his car. Everything else was perfect, the people manager would always be willing to help, find me jobs to do.
They have invested a lot into me. I went through a lot of online training, attended training sessions on UK GAAP together will all the office, I was supported in every possible way.
Company Parties/Events
I am hoping to be offered a Graduate job and more than willing to accept it.
The Culture
Yes, we went out for dinner and drinks and tried to spend more time together.
Aberdeen is another level of expensive.
I go to university in Aberdeen therefore I am used to th nightlife. I would rate it as average.
Yes, we took part in the Corporate Highland Games, we were invited to social events, tenis afternoons. The office seems to be really active and loves spending time together.
