The Role
It was enjoyable, everyone was really friendly and the induction week was good fun.
Quit valued. I was given imporant work by my colleagues from the get-go
Any questions that I had were answered!
Fairly busy. There was some downtime but also a lot of times where I had a lot to do.
I was given a reasonable amount of responsibility. Every piece of client work that I did was reviewed, but that is the case for everyone at PwC not just interns!
There was nothing I learned that will be particuarly relevant towards studying for my degree.
The Company
Surprisingly good fun! Everyone was very friendly and approachable.
The induction week was very well organised, with every minute of it planned out. But the actual internship in my department was less well organised, but this is due to the unpredicable nature of the work rather than a reflection on the department itself.
Clearly PwC care a lot about their interns, and this is reflected in the huge lengths that they go to to set up the 3-day induction in a hotel that all of the interns nationwide attend.
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
Very.
The Culture
Yes, amongst fellow interns you have to (and should) organise things yourself.
Leeds is pretty cheap.
The nightlife in Leeds is pretty good, and there is music that will cater to all tastes.
A few networking opportunities were available as well as some after-work drinks. There are also football and netball teams.
