The Role
The work that you're given is relatively varied, from stuff that is really interesting - sitting in on client meetings with really important people - to really dull stuff - typing up notes. There's a really good atmosphere though so it's alot of fun.
One thing I hadn't appreciated before I started was the fact that the teams ask for interns - you're not forced upon them. As such, your colleagues value the fact you're there taking tasks off their plate.
A big mantra at PwC is 'there are not stupid questions' so if you don't understand something you can just ask. In general my team were pretty good at explaining stuff so
This varies from intern-to-intern and day-to-day but I was usually in the office by 8:45 and often not leaving until gone 7:30. I was on the client site in another city so those days were longer, whereas days in More London would often be a bit shorter. Some interns didn't have enough to do so found other people within the firm to work with - there are plenty of opportunities to keep yourself busy.
Again, this is relatively varied, but you're only given what you're judged to be capable of. You're not making coffee, but sometimes making coffee would require more responsibility than the work you've been given. Other times, you can be given more: organising meetings, building out slides that wil be used in the final deliverable, etc.
Not massively, but it helps you build your confidence, become a 'PwC Professional,' and become better at organising yourself and your time.
The Company
The team were really friendly and relaxed - lots of jokes and laugh and people are always more than happy to have a chat. It's very sociable and
Relatively well organised, you spend the first couple of days at a hotel doing some basic training. Then you're placed on a project and work with that team through to the end. You're given a buddy (someone who is a first year associate) and a people manager (who tends to be a manager). It's up to you to find your own opportunities to an extent, though.
A lot, the first couple of days of training are a lot of soft skills and there are lots of eLearns throughout the internship to keep you involved. Your people manager is also really helpful in your development and you get feedback from your team throughout the process which helps you progress.

93% of people get a job. Higher percentage in the London office but lower percentage in the regions.
The Culture
We had drinks every Friday with the othe interns, and we all went for lunch (and occasionally breakfast) whenever we were in the office.
Drinking was expensive but food is not really any more expensive than anywhere else in the country.
It was London - need I say more?
We did intern drinks every Friday at the local bar, and were invited to Foundation for the Future drinks with all of the first and second year Management Consultants (with free alcohol). There wasn't much more than that, but there are loads of opportunities if you get the job.
