The Role
I had the opportunity to get involved in a large variety of work, most of which was for real clients. I have enjoyed the experience thoroughly. After a one week training induction, you are put onto a real team and involved in the daily work and life straight away. It's a brilliant way to see if the work is for you, and if you could see yourself pursuing a career in the field.
The colleagues on my team are all really friendly and approachable. Everyone is more than happy to sit down and explain work to me, and beyond that I have been invited to all of the social events. There is a weekly football game I play with colleagues, and we all eat lunch together unless it gets incredibly busy in the office. So in m experience, everyone is approachable and friendly all the way through to more senior levels.
I had a weekly progress meeting with my people manager, who also ensured I was being assigned the right work. Other than that, I would say there was actually a degree of freedom for me to find work and interact with the team as I saw fit, but this is in no way a negative. Rather, I found that things flowed more smoothly when I was proactive and took it upon myself to find or complete work, and I think that it is because the atmosphere at PwC is very much one in which taking charge of your schedule and planning things is a very big part.
Most days I had more than plenty to do, I have probably stayed late by an hour about half the time. The rest of the team does this too, most people work 9- 18 30 I would guess (although this is the case in most major financial firms so don't let that put you off).
In shorts, loads. I have been working on real client work since the very beginning, and have even met a client at their office. This has meant that PwC felt I was able to uphold a professional attitude and represent the firm even outside the office, and I would say that most of the work I have done has been part of a bigger project. Therefore, the level of responsibility given is quite significant for 西瓜视频s at our level.
I genuinely believe I am now more capable at two things: Firstly, I am able to interact within a professional environment much more effectively, be that with fellow colleagues or at a client site. Secondly, perhaps most importantly, I am able to recognise where my weaknesses lie, what I'm doing wrong and what I need to change. I feel like this is the most important skill I have learned by far, and it will certainly help me in all areas of my life.
The Company
It was light hearted for the most part, and serious when necessary. It was never scary though, everyone was always up for a laugh and most of the managers turned out to be funnier than I was. And I'm reasonably funny.
It was all organised incredibly well, the hotel was amazing and all the food and accommodation was sorted out for us. The training itself was detailed and specific, so if something was difficult, it would never be because it was badly organised, just that the task itself was challenging.
The company seriously does spend a significant amount of time, effort and funding on the event, and you can definitely tell. The whole experience is top notch and very educational. Just as an example, on the second day we had dinner and about 25 partners came from all over the country to dine and network with us. This type of commitment is evident throughout the entire internship.

PwC looks like a great place to work, and I hope I am offered a place to come back after university. I think if you work hard and are open to improving, employment prospects look promising.
The Culture
Drinks after work, lunches, dinners. This may depend on the number of interns in your office, there was a large number in mine so socialising was straightforward and enjoyable.
It was reasonable, not too expensive, but I suppose this could add up if you went out a very large amount,
The nightlife was great, and plenty of work socials providing opportunities to go out!
The team was always organising socials, so there was a work hard play hard vibe about the place. I found loads of opportunities to spend time having fun with the team outside of working hours, and there was always something going on.
