The Role
I enjoyed the variety I experienced during my internship. Interacting with 2 major clients, and working on slightly more broad areas, both in and outside of the office. I found the people very friendly and the atmosphere relaxed despite being hardworking. I felt I was treated with respect and was achknowledged for my rightdoings and coached about my wrongdoings in a way that was far from intimidating and made me feel extremely comfortable.
I felt that despite knowing very little aside from pre-internship training, I was treated no differently to anyone else. I was given a task list and rewarded for my completions as was any other member of the team. There was mutual acknowledgement of the contribution we all had made to the job.
Most times my incharges were great at finding things for me to do, this only hindered when infact there was nothing for me to specifically to do. Those individuals in delegation roles were excellent at finding things, or asking others around the office, when I had finished tasks, keeping me constantly busy and able to nip in and out of a variety of areas.
This varied day by day, and job by job, and was dependent on what the client provided us, the auditors with.
I was given a good amount of responsibilty, enough that I felt like a real employee rather than just an intern. I was trusted to send emails, edit the files and speak to clients alone, after being given guidance. I was also allowed and encouraged to take some initiative, which meant being trusted in my position.
My degree is not directly finance related, however, teamwork, time keeping, and client relation skills I have developed can be taken forward into any role in te future.
The Company
The atmoshpere was friendly, but also hardworking. Individuals were happy to relax for a chat, but still made sure work was done and to a good standard. All inidivuals were friendly and inviting to afterwork activities and lunches together, which made it feel as though individuals werent just colleagues, but also friends.
The internship was set up excellently, a few hiccups over interns bookings and schedule changes, but this is to be expected in this sort of industry where deadlines and startdates can be moved around, as can the workload per job from week to week. I enjoyed the variety I got to experiance, and working both in and out of the office.
The firm invested a week of training at the beggining of the internship with lectures and seminars, as well as offering optional e-learns and the time and effort of managers and supervisors. I felt that this investment was solid, and as an intern you were definitely treated as an individual with potential value to the business in the future

Future employment prospects are extraordinarily appealing, and most of the interns agree with this, the variety and flexibility of the job is attractive.
The Culture
There is always many activities, socials, sports,'social group' acitivities, such as away days, and the last friday of the month food and drinks.
The prices were no to bad, and your level of cost depends on the activities you wish to participate in and how many,
The nightlife was very good, with several bars very close to the office for after-work drinks
Yes, plenty of social events, charity work and sport.
