The Role
I managed to see a whole variety of interesting work and everyday was different. The process was very well run and definitely better than I had imagined.
I was welcomed into the team and felt like I was one of the associates. I could see the work that I was doing actually mattered and how it helped the more senior colleagues.
There was lots of advice from my people manager and buddy on targets for my internship. I also had lots of advice from other members of the team.
Most days were very busy, which is unusual for the summer. Sometimes work was piled on very quickly at the last minute, but this was the nature of being the most junior member of the team.
I had been given some responsibilities in making first drafts of reports and making powerpoint presentations. Some research that I did was to be used by more senior people. For my knowledge of the subject, I was given a lot of responsibility.
My degree is very closely linked to the work that I had been doing, so very useful in that sense. These skills will undoubtedly be used in my professional career and will help in my future career.
The Company
Everyone was very hard working when there was some pressure to get stuff done, but quite relaxed when deadlines weren't looming. It was friendly and everyone was prepared to help!
Very well organised. Other than some minor IT problems everything else ran smoothly.
The whole of the first week was full of induction training and it was very clear that the company had invested lots of money into the internship program.

Very good. Most people get a graduate offer after the summer internship.
The Culture
We organised weekly socials for the interns and there were also some events for the colleagues in the same department.
