The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed many aspects of my internship these include: the coaching culture of the firm which created a supportive environment to learn, the opportunity to do real work for real clients on a daily basis and the diversity of this work.
inevitably when working on some of the more high pressured clients as an intern your contribution feels less valuable. However when working on other projects I felt that my work would have been of real value and be used.
On our first day in the office we were assigned both a people manager and buddy this system works in various ways for different interns. personally I found the support of my in charge and others in the teams I was working in to be invaluable throughout my internship
There were busy days and quieter days but on the average there was enough work to be getting on with but not to the extent I ever felt swamped
This differed depending on the client and nature of the task
I don't feel the skills will necessarily help my degree studies but will prove valuable in my future working careers
The Company
friendly and supportive for the most part
Very well organised in terms of the induction, training, work and social events
Very well there was always additional training to do when there was down time in work
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing
The Culture
more so amongst the group of interns than with office as a whole but this is something I really enjoyed
average, I go to uni in the same city so knew what to expect
a good selection of bars and restaurants for after work events
Yes but mostly ones we arranged ourselves as interns with other interns
