    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • The Talent Academy was highly recommended to me by my peers and mentors. I am happy I applied because the insight event was beyond my expectations of it. I loved every minute of it and feel lucky to have been part of the Class of 2015!!!!

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I felt valued to a very large extent because of the quality of the programme. I feel like PwC has invested in me and my personal-development. I am sure I can use the skills I have developed in the near future.

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • I felt wholly supported by the staff and even my colleagues. They were always there to make sure that we were comfortable and on hand if we needed any help or had any questions to ask.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I actually believe that I have developed skills for life at this Talent Academy because we were given many opportunities to demonstrate employability skills such as communication through a debate for example. Getting feedback at every stage was also very helpful.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • I loved the fact that we were given a timetable which they stuck to very closely. It was very useful so that we all knew what was coming next. This is important because there were a lot of activities we had to get through and having that clear structure made it more enjoyable. We were also given enough breaks between the different tasks.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The general atmosphere was relaxed and chilled. There was a lot of refreshments and the staff and partners were so welcoming and encouraging. It was also nice that everyone seemed to be having fun which put me at ease.

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They invested in us to a very large extent because all the activities were run by PwC staff who took their own time to help us and coach us. They gave us feedback after every task.

    5/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • It was helpful to a great extent because we had the opportunity to speak to people at all levels of the firm and from different service lines as well. There was also a drinks reception and dinner which allowed us to ask more questions.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • Being able to speak on a one to one level with staff gave us a good idea of the culture. Having them there and listening to them speak brought all the company information on their website to life and much more.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • They ran us through a detailed explanation of the different career paths and journeys we could embark on. We also carried out practical tasks in teams which gave us a simplified but true idea of what we could be doing on a day to day basis. I found this to be the most valuable part of the insight.

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • For all the PwC events I have attended, an opportunity to reclaim expenses has always been provided. It is very straightforward.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • At every stage there has been a lot of opportunities to network with PwC employees. For example, during lunch or the drinks receptions and mainly at the dinner with the Partners.

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • The networking opportunities were fun with a very laid back atmosphere which was calming. The employees were very interested in getting to know us and also share their experiences at the firm with us.

    5/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • There were lots of opportunities to find out abut these activities. Firstly, a partner gave a very comprehensive speech to all of us but at the partner dinner we could also ask them more questions for example about their work-life balance. PwC employees ran all the activities so we also had the opportunity to find out more about things like this then.

    5/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • I would definitely recommend it to a friend who is considering a career in Professional Services. It can also give you the opportunity to be fast tracked for other programmes.
