The Role
I've thoroughly enjoyed my internship. I've been able to get fully involved in many projects and really feel like I've become part of the team!
I feel valued by my colleagues to a large extent. I've been given independent work to do, and whilst it is checked before being sent to clients, the work would not be done if I didn't complete it. I feel like my colleagues now value my opinion and I can really get involved.
My manager and buddy give me a lot of guidance and are really good people to go to when you're struggling with work or anything internship related. But if neither of them are free, then the whole team are very friendly and keen to help so if they have time they will help out!
As a whole, I have been very busy throughout my internship. There have been quiet spells but they haven't often lasted long, as long as I am practive in asking for more stuff to get involved in when I have run out. Also, if there is nothing to do within the team you can go and help out in other teams to get an insight into other lines of business.
I was given a certian amount of responsibility. You have to manage yourself and allocated your time well and I was entirely responsible for any internal work I took on. But as far as client communication goes everything was understandably checked before I sent it.
My time management skills have certainly been improved by this internship and I now feel like I will be able to balance my workload much more effectively when I'm at university. Also, my ability to use excel has improved substantially by using it every day so I will now be much more confident when I have to use it for coursework!
The Company
The general atmosphere is very friendly. It's never quiet and people are often celebrating big deals so that can definitely spur everybody on! But generally everyone talks and takes short breaks which makes the working atmposhere really good!
The internship was set up extremely well. Considering the number of people catered for and the range of locations that were being used it was unbelievable. Everyone is fully integrated into PwC and your own teams network and you generally are an employee of the company.
The company gives you a lot of training in the first two weeks of the internship and the three day residential at the start is very good in terms of development and training. They are looking for the next year of graduates so they put a lot of time in to you to check that you pick it up and can deliver!

Very appealing. We will have to wait and see as to whether I get an offer or not!
The Culture
You meet a lot of people on the residential so you make friends from other lines of service and other offices, All of the interns I know in London keep in touch and we met up throughout the internship. I have socialised with my colleagues as well, we have been out for food and drinks a couple of times, which has been a lot of fun!
I commuted from home because London is an expensive place to live, and socialising was also quite pricey because everything is expensive here.
The nightlife in London is obviously unbelievably varied and a lot of fun. The only problems are getting around and the prices!
There weren't a huge number of opportunities but there seem to be if you're here for long enough to get properly involved!
