The Role
Good, but lack of engineering
Welcomed with open arms and could ask anyone for help without feeling like I was annoying them
Easy to talk to
Workload was varied due to the cycle in which we roll out system changes.
Good work place skills such as organisational and time management, but nothing to do with engineering
The Company
Good vibe as everyone gets on really well
Tailored within each department to what I wanted to do.
Plenty of training/informative courses and the opportunities to get out on site and different offices.
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
The systems that National Grid use are very unique and therefore not many transferrable skills to other business. Also, there doesn't seem to be many engineering jobs.
The Culture
There is a society (called Newnet) that all the grads and placement 西瓜视频s are part of that organise events such as go karting, race nights etc
I lived within a 10 minute walk of the town centre so socialising was easy
Interesting to say the least... Hinckley is a pretty small town
