The Role
I worked within Audit and realised it was not for me. The lower rating reflects this more than it reflects PwC or the people I worked with.
I was given responsibility even within the internship and thanked for my efforts.
They encouraged and answered any questions I had and they ensured I knew exactly what I was doing.
I was mostly busy and had to stay longer due to tight deadlines, which is a part of the real job too, with the entire team working extra time.
I was given appropriate responsibility, but there is a limit to the responsibility they could place due to the nature of audit and the activities that need to be performed. For the most part the first time you complete an activity you need close assistance as it needs to be done in a certain way. The short length of an internship means that most of the activities I did were for the first time, so I couldn't be given responsibility over them.
I learned a lot about what I like and don't like within the world of work, as well as vastly improving my excel skills and learning what I did well and didn't do so well through useful feedback.
The Company
The office was very friendly, everyone was approachable and willing to help and we had a laugh too.
Very well organised, a clear structure of training and work.
Training days, feedback and assistance from colleagues meant I developed my skills quickly.
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
I got the job, but as I am looking to switch location/service line I will need to have another final interview.
The Culture
I played football with colleagues after work, went to company socials and also went out with the other interns.
Bristol prices are good considering how nice it was in the area I worked.
Had a few great nights out in Bristol.
Subsidised sport events and social events, but there could have been more socials etc.
