  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • it was amazing. met new people and had formal dinner and meetings with senior partners of pac

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • very valued. even though there was competition for a limited number of places to progress on to the summer internship scheme, the colleagues respected each other whilst also trying to make them selves stand out too.

  • before any activities, psychometric tests or any other types of test such as presentations, we were given full briefings and explained each tasks throughly and the management ensured we understood what was required of us before the tasks started.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • very busy. there were early starts and throughout the day we were required to work and research on projects. however, adequate break times were given with networking time in the evenings.

  • we were responsible for ensuring we research our own project topic thoroughly, and responsible to be professional throughout the programme.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • my skills to communicate and work alongside a number of diverse people has definitely improved my employability skills and hopefully working for a firm like pwc will definitely help me in my accounting career.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • there was not an office. we were all working together in a large conference room

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • it was very well organised. time and effort was definitely put into the program and it was a real success. each task and activity was carried out at the times specified. and time management is essential to be successful in business and the organisation was perfect.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • wel they definitely made us feel part of the firm, as we were introduced to partners, understood more about the firm, and given this opportunity to fast track onto a summer internship or graduate scheme definitely shows that we are valued by the firm.

  • yes, working for a firm like pwc is essential to have social time and this was given to us in the evenings were drinks were available and networking time was given to us

  • all the costs were paid for.

  • we were not really exposed to the nightlife except during evenings when we went to the back of hotel for informal drinks with colleagues.

  • not on this program. but they are available on internship schemes.
