The Role
The week long partner shadowing opportunity at PwC was relatively enjoyable and a good learning experience.
Everyone really valued my work as if I were a permanent employee even though I was there for only a week
Management and senior stakeholders are supportive and helped me in understanding the work they were doing as well as explaining the concepts
As I was there for only a week, I was given a fair amount of responsibility however I have to praise the work life balance at PwC
Every single day I spoke with my partner and was given some work or the other to do. This also included travelling to client sites and writing reports.
Learnt some new things but also realized what interests me and otherwise.
The Company
General atmosphere was pleasant. Everyone was 'nice' and supportive.
The internship was faultlessly organised with everything pre-planned and spot on
Not too many personal development opportunities apart from working with the most senior person in the whole office and seeing how they function
Flexi Time
National Travel
My partner enjoyed working with me and I went for a final interview in a business sector at PwC which I might want to work in. I chose consulting
The Culture
Not too much of a social scene as there were no other placement 西瓜视频s.
The area was nice however I was away from home so had to rent a hotel.
There was no nightlife whatsoever as it was far far away from London
There were some opportunities however they were limited to the permanent employees
