    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • As a Customer Success Intern, I supported both internal and customer-facing initiatives. I worked with Customer Success Managers to deliver presentations, adoption sessions, and strategic reviews to enterprise clients, ensuring they understood and maximised their investment in Adobe鈥檚 marketing software. Internally, I contributed to UKI, EMEA, and global programmes that improved how we deliver value to customers. My work included reporting (e.g. Power BI), project coordination, event planning, and creating new resources. I collaborated with cross-functional teams across Adobe and engaged with client stakeholders from practitioners (hands-on users of Adobe tools) to senior leaders.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • I developed my skills in stakeholder engagement, project coordination, and strategic communication. I contributed to cross-functional initiatives, supported internal programmes, and helped create scalable resources for team use. These improved my knowledge of how global teams work together, and showed me the importance of open collaboration to improve efficiency and scale best practices. I also improved my confidence in presenting, crafting data-led narratives using tools like Power BI, and managing multiple priorities. These experiences strengthened my adaptability, collaboration, and problem-solving. With all of these under my belt, I know that I can approach any new situation with the confidence that I have the tools to learn the environment, create bespoke solutions, and articulate the importance of my recommendations.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Absolutely, and that's down to 2 things: - The amazing people at Adobe that connected my interests with work that was already underway, giving me the opportunity to be exposed to real-life scenarios where Adobe was creating and scaling solutions in those spaces. - My proactiveness being rewarded with responsibility. In the situations where I shadowed existing work, I raised my hand to be actively involved in bringing solutions, events, and products to life. Teams at Adobe are always happy to bring you on board, and being proactive helped me cross over from shadowing and observing to doing and creating.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • In my team, I was well-supported from day 1 with a hands-on Buddy, Manager, and regional Director, as well as my entire team, who looked out for opportunities to improve my knowledge, skills and network. The University Talent team were also an amazing resource throughout the year that supported us in personal development and community-building. Outside of my 'assigned' support system, the genuine culture at Adobe meant that I felt well looked-after in every room I stepped into. For example, I met mentors and role models during chance encounters in lifts and bathrooms. Building relationships was a great avenue to expand my support system, which also required my being proactive to seek guidance from the people that inspired me.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The culture is just as our Values say, which is a rare and highly-appreciated find! People work hard and play hard, but never forsake their genuine personalities and kindness in doing either. Everyone is welcomed and celebrated as they are, but we all share the characteristics of diligence, creativity, and problem-solving. People are happy here, and it is infectious. It's the kind of place where everyone knows everyone, and no matter how tough the work gets, people don't give up on it, themselves, or each other. Everyone is happy to help, so that when one person wins, we all celebrate like it is our own.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I loved it! Adobe is a place where I have grown up, both in age and in maturity. I've learned more about myself, where I want to go, and the parts of the world that I want to make a difference in. For me, Adobe has been a safe place to push boundaries, experiment, and be bold - 'safe' because I know that if it 'fails', I have a supportive team around me that can help me create a solution to try next time. That mindset has done so much for my development - I've learned that failing followed by learning is simply a sign of progress! Leaving Adobe with mindset shifts like these make me feel well-prepared for the future.

  • 8. What advice would you give to others applying to Adobe
  • This is advice that I read on Rate My Placement when I was in your shoes, with my own little twist. Looking back, I believe applying it helped me to secure my offer and thrive at Adobe. It is this: Be 100% you, celebrate yourself, and lean into your strengths. This will help you succeed wherever you find yourself, because it helps you understand the types of environments, activities, and people that fit you, not the other way around. That's not to say to avoid moments of stretching that lead to growth. It is to say that being 100% authentic and diligent is when you are truly at your best. So aim for that best.
